Message from
the Principal
The 2021-22 academic year was a year that we will
remember for many outstanding achievements that were
recognised by organisations outside our school community.
The highlights are surely the impressive results that our
students achieved in their IGCSE/AS/A2 Cambridge
International Assessment exams. Due to these results and
other factors the school was also felicitated by the Yalla
Schools organisation in the ‘Best School’ category at an
event at the Middlesex University.
Keeping our students and staff safe during the challenging COVID pandemic and
improving and updating equipment and technology across the AUS premises to enhance
our students’ learning experiences will be remembered as memorable highlights for
the 2021-22 academic year.
It will also be the year that we sadly had to say good bye to our founder, Mrs Zainab
Taher, who founded the school 47 years ago. She will fondly be remembered for the
significant impact she had on thousands of people’s lives and the wider education
community in Dubai.
