As Arab Unity School presents this year’s annual school
magazine Expressions, I express my heartfelt gratitude to
my parents, Founder Directors, Mr Abdul Hussain Taher
and Late Mrs Zainab A. Taher for establishing this 47 year
                                                   old legacy.

Their mission of providing affordable education to all our
students with a vision to mould them into respectful,
reliable and conscious leaders is being accomplished with
every new achievement that our students bring in.

Expressions features AUS students’ venturing into a very wide range of learning
experiences. Excellent IGCSE/AS/A Level results, results of internal assessment which
are evolving with inclusion of creative and non-traditional methods, co-curricular
activities in school and accolades in various literacy, technology and creative art
competitions outside the school talk volume about students’ development in school.

With gradual ease in the pandemic restriction, the current year witnessed many other
enriching activities conducted in school including wellbeing and health education sessions,
Literacy Week, Maths Week, Business Fests, Career Fests, Graduation ceremonies, MUN
sessions, Educational and recreational visits, celebrations of various national and
international days right from Foundation stage to the Sixth Form. The current edition
also carries evidence of cross phase coordination, shared and more effective leadership
at staff and students level, parental involvement, coordination with other school
                      communities.

Accomplishment of the above mentioned is undoubtedly a long haul.Numerous challenges,
known and unknown, took toll at every step but at AUS we have learnt to fall and rise
                     with double might and enthusiasm.

My mother, Mrs Zainab A. Taher’s heavenly abode is the huge loss that the entire Arab
Unity Fraternity bore this year. But her noble thoughts, inspirational approach and
selfless love and care will always be with us to guide and support us. I feel privileged
that I have been rendered this responsibility to take Arab Unity School to the next level.
And this will be made possible with wholehearted support of staff, students and parents.
I have strong belief that together we will make it and share the sweetness of success.

                     Congratulations to the editorial board!
