DEPUTY HEADS
It’s the end of another academic year (2021-22) and I
have made more cherished memories. I have watched
my students learn, grow and change from day to day.
School activities, special events and themes in the
Primary Section create a fun filled atmosphere that
inspire students to enjoy every moment of their school
year.
I am committed to the wellbeing of young learners and focused on
promoting 21st century learning skills – innovation and high order
thinking skills in classrooms and believe in a student centered learning
approach. I hope that all the things that we have done this year
have helped the students in some way.
Thank you to all my students for their hard work throughout the year!
Ms. Sadia Arif
Deputy Head KS1
My second year in AUS has been far more taxing
and challenging. Welcoming back all our students
to F2F learning was welcoming, yet at times an
overwhelming, experience.
Starting as deputy head for year's 5 & 6 was truly
an amazing experience. However, when Year 3 and
4 was added to my profile later in the year was
just incredible.

I love going around and interacting with “my students”. We really have
an amazing bunch of students in AUS. Working with a super group of
teachers simply makes my work so much easier. I am truly blessed
to be part of AUS. Looking forward to next year, with new challenges,
new inspirations and ultimately reaching higher achievements. I
envisage to triangulate the relationship between the teachers,
students and parents even more in the next academic year.
Mr. Rocco De Bruyn
Deputy Head KS2
