We have had two very busy weeks settling children and parents in to routines. As always, some changes have to be made and these can sometimes cause upset initially. However please rest assured that changes are made in order to keep children safe and secure at school.
I would like to thank all the Own Transport parents who are waiting so patiently at the doors of Primary during dispersal. It is hot but I am sure you will all agree that settling children must come first. The school day finishes at 2pm and so we aim to allow parents to enter as close to 2:05 as possible. With everyone’s co-operation we aim to have all children clear, safely by 2:15ish.
I understand there were a large number of parents at the Principal’s Coffee Morning today – we hope we can continue to make progress based on some of your requests.
I would like to invite all parents to attend a parent orientation meeting next week in Taher Hall from 8:30am – 9:30am on:
Tuesday, 17th September Year 1 & 2 Parents
Wednesday, 18th September Year 3 & 4 Parents
Thursday, 19th September Year 5 & 6 Parents
This meeting will clarify day-to-day arrangements specific to each year group. Please try to attend. We would request that you leave any baby buggies at the back of the hall during this meeting.
Advance notice that Tuesday, October 1st there will be a new item on our calendar – Meet ‘n’ Greet the Teachers. This is in response to requests from parents last academic year. Primary children will not attend school that day but parents will be invited to meet teachers in order to discuss how children are settling and share any information they wish teachers to know about their child.
We look forward to meeting many of you at these events. In the meanwhile, if you have a concern or question, please write it in your child’s diary. If you wish to meet with a member of staff, please request this in the diary as well or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to help as quickly as possible. Please also use the following number if you need to contact Primary direct in case of any emergencies: 04 284 8710
Have a great weekend and enjoy your children, they grow up so quickly,
